Hair loss in women is becoming a more and more prevalent
and frequent occurrence in women today. There are many factors that can lead to female hair loss. The common factors generally attributed to female hair loss include; stress, hormonal fluctuations, pregnancy, poor nutrition or even poor styling methods that end up straining the hair very much. So, what do you do if you find yourself in this same situation? Here are a few tips to keep the hair that you have, and to help re-grow the hair that you have lost:
1. A symptom of hair loss is fragile hair, so you need to keep your hair free from chemicals or high heat. Also, you should trim your hair often, and use styling products sparingly. Try to cut your hair where you are able to wear it down. Barrettes and ponytail holders can cause significant damage even to healthy hair.
2. Mix cosmetic vinegar (2 tablespoons) into hot water (6 tablespoons). Dip cotton and dab into the scalp. Part the hair with a comb as you apply all over the scalp. This should be preferably done at bed time. To avoid staining the pillow, you can tie a scarf over your hair. Wash off your hair next morning with shampoo. After the hair is thoroughly cleansed pour over as a last rinse a mixture of three tablespoons of cosmetic vinegar and one cup of hot water. Then dry the hair thoroughly. You can do this two times a week for 3 months.
3. Also avoid processing. This means coloring, straightening, perming, highlighting, blowing dry excessively, straight ironing, curling irons and any other high heat or harsh chemical methods of styling the hair. These will just aggravate your condition by further weakening the internal structure and outside bonds of the hair shaft, as well as drying the scalp and irritating it further, making the hair fall out more easily at the root.
4. Take Vitamins A, B6, B12, Folic acid, biotin, and Vitamin C. Caution: Too much Vitamin A can cause hair loss keep your intake less than 100,000 IU daily. This is one of the best hair loss treatment.
5. Scalp Massage. Get yourself a good, stimulating scalp massage oil. My favorite is a natural scalp oil by Jason’s Naturals. It can be found in natural food stores, or you may be able to purchase it online.
6. A Chinese herb called Fo-Ti , restores hair color and hinders production of DHT, stops hair loss and thinning hair and encourages hair growth.
7. You could make a homemade shampoo by mixing 100 g each of indian gooseberry (Indian goose berry), sapindus mucorosai, and acacia concinna. Boil this in two litres of water until the liquid reduces to half. Use this shampoo for one month. Dandruff will vanish and your hair will become thick.
